This is pretty bland. I was hoping for a bit more flavor but it fell flat for me. I suppose you could "doc" it up, but that defeats the purpose. My daughters and I have been consuming foods and beverages that are adaptogens to help with hormone balancing. I'm 53 and officially in menopause so trying to increase estrogen. My daughters both have a genetic mutation that makes them low in estrogen, so they are also trying to increase it. This oatmeal sounded like a great way to do this. This isn't too bad! It's sweet and flavorful and nothing stands out as off-flavored. I like to add a little butter, because eating oatmeal without butter is almost sinful in my eyes. ha! But if you're not one to use butter in oatmeal, you'll definitely enjoy this. The instructions are vague. It says to pour boiling water to cover the oats, but as soon as you pour the water, the oats float, so it's kind of a guessing game. The first time I made it, I put the lid on and let it sit 4 minutes (per instructions) but it was too thick, so I added a bit more water to thin it out a bit. This is a review of the "Adapto Foods Gluten Free Oatmeal Cups Adaptogen Boosted Cranberry Upbeat Oats, Reishi Mushroom, St. John's Wort, Superfood, 5 Meals".These taste great! They taste just like any other Cranberry oatmeal I've had; no "funny" tastes of the added Mushrooms or anything like that. I just add hot water, let it sit for a bit and then it's good to eat.At about $3/each, I would probably not buy them again as I can get an entire box of regular oatmeal for that price, but these were a good treat and I'm glad I tried them! These oatmeal cups are a convenient, easy snack. They taste good and the "boosts" don't take away from the flavor. They are a bit sugary for my taste. They're a bit on the expensive side.Adapto Foods Oatmeal Cups Adaptogen Boosted Cranberry Upbeat Oats, Reishi Mushroom, St. John's Wort, Superfood, 5 Meals (Cranberry)My husband and youngest son love oatmeal, so I got this for them to use for a quick breakfast with the added benefits just being icing on the cake (so to speak). They thought this tasted great for a quick oatmeal meal. It wasn’t overly sweet or taste too much like cranberry (youngest isn’t a huge fan). As others have mentioned, it’s not clear on the instructions how much water to use, but hubby said that he used 1/2 of a cup is good for a “thicker” oatmeal, more or less depending on how you like it. They would both definitely buy again. Recommend.I'm always rushing in the mornings, my doctor told me breakfast was a must. These oatmeal cups couldn't be easier to make.
